Hi.
Here is the setup: XP Professional (sp2), 1,4 GHz, 512 MB RAM.
Problem:
It takes about 3 - 5 minutes for Outlook 2003 to start.
I resently upgraded from the 2000 version which worked fine.
I have tried to start in safe - mode, but there is no differense.
There might be a problem with connecting to "Exchange" that's causing the
problem. But I don't know what "Exchange" is, and I'm using a POP3 account
for my e-mail.
The window for Outlook opens, then nothing happends for 3 - 5 min.
In the lower left corner i says in Norwegian:
Laster ned fra området outlook:i20%dag:
Which translated is something like:
Downloading form area outlook:i%20dag.
My .pst file is about 50 Mb, an an archive about the same size. Not too big.
I also have the same problem with Msn Messenger (takes 3 - 5 min. to
start/exit)
I had no problem with messenger before I installd Outlook 2003.
I've schearched for spyware with several programs, but cant' find anything.
There is no virus on the computer. (used Norman anti-virus).
I have defargged the computer and cleaned up the startup programs.
I have also downloaded all updates for outlook from Microsoft.
Can anyone help me?
