I have noticed that with Outlook 2007, when I click on various items in my
"Folder List" on the left that the program is quite responsive and I can
navigate say between my inbox, outbox, sent items, junk email, etc without
pause or hesitation in the programs behaviour or performance....That is
until I click my "Contacts" item, that is when I notice a big performance
issue. For some reason outlook, at least initially doesn't seem to respond
to the click, but then when I watch my CPU usage, I notice that for a period
of time...between 30 and 60 seconds approximate, Outlook takes 50% of my
CPU, apparently just to display my 150 contacts in my contacts folder. Not
sure if anyone else is having this problem, but I'm willing to bet that I am
not alone. I have already disabled virtually all add-ins, one at a time to
see if they were causing a problem, but nothing seems to impact the
performance hit. Just wondering if this is something I am going to have to
get used to or if there is a solution out there some where.
