Current situation:
- We have two branch offices running Word 2007.
- Branch one: When track changes is turned on, typing is extrememly slow and
unresponsive in Word.
- Branch two: No problems with track changes or any other features at all.
- When IT department uses VNC (remote desktop) to connect to branch one
(from branch two) to get users to demonstrate the slowness, the issue
dissapears (i.e. it is no longer slow). They are able to use track changes
without any slowness
- When VNC is disconnected, branch two users are still using track changes
fine until word is closed down and opened up again.
Does anyone have any suggestions why this is happening? Is there a certain
process that Word uses to turn on track changes? Because as soon as the
UltraVNC.exe process kicks in, word forgets about being slow and does its
normal thing.
