Hi,
We have a system of hot desking where users can use any of a number of
machines. We user Exchange Server 2003. We had a strange problem on Friday.
User A logged into the machine she usually uses as User B as User B had
asked her to send an email for him. The email appeared to have been sent.
Today, User A logged onto another machine as User B and checked to see if
the email was in the sent items list. It was not. User B then checked on a
third machine and his loggin there did not display the sent email in the
Outlook sent items list. In the mean time User C logged onto the original
machine (where the email was actually sent from) as User B (the user the
email was sent from) and checked the sent items list. The email was there
and immediately appeared on the other two machines as well.
We were pretty sure the email was indeed sent on Friday as we had some out
of office replies from some of the people the email was sent to.
All the outlooks are set up in caching mode.
Any ideas why the sent email did not appear on the other two machines. I
guess it is something to do with caching but I have tried to repeat the
problem and all seemed to work well.
Regards,
Vic Russell
