Very strange slideshow glitch, very new at powerpoint.

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
Processor: Power PC

Anyone have any suggestions?

I have prepared all my slides and they look fine. When i start a slideshow however they are all chopped up and reversed with elements from a previous slide "going into" upcoming slides.

If I have a piece of text along the top and along the bottom they are reversed. When an image goes through the middle it is cut in half with the same reversed effect as with text.

Not sure, but is it possible that your text extends outside the boundaries of the slide?

First, select "Page Setup" from the File menu and make sure that you are sized for an online show. If not, change that and see what happens. You may be asked if you want to resize: answer "yes."

If that doesn't work, try creating a new, blank presentation. Select "Fit" in the zoom box and see what the percentage is (mine usually shows a bit over 100% when I am in "Normal View"). Now compare that to your problem presentation. If your problem presentation is significantly smaller, that would suggest to me that you have text or graphics outside the displayable area, and who knows what will happen.
