Video does not go fullscreen and other bugs

Jon Powerpoint

We have been trying to play video in Powerpoint for the
last three releases without success. We have tried all
sorts of methods to get video to play efficiently.

The problem is that by using the Insert-Movie from file
method is that the usage of resources is very inefficient.
As a workaround in PP 2002 we used the Windows Media
Object through the ActiveX controls. This worked better
but the problem was that when the slide could only play
once at fullscreen. Then it would shrink back to its true,
smaller resolution after all subsequent replays.

In PP 2003, the handling of resources seems to be a little
better with the improvements with the Windows Media 9
Encoder for the media. Now, the problem is, the video
plays in the lower left corner at its true, smaller
resolution rather than playing fullscreen.

Now here comes to the real kicker. We downloaded
the "bee.mpg" from MS, and everything works fine with
their media in PP 2003. However, when we use our own media
it shrinks right back down to the lower left corner. All
processes are the same for both test files.

We are running PP 2003, Win2000 sp4, 1 GB Ram. We have
tried mpg and wmv files at various resolutions (160x120,
640x480) trying to get them to display at 1024x768 with no
luck.

Please help,
Jon
