Video does not play when burned to CD?

I can play the embedded video in the powerpoint .exe and it plays when the
powerpoint is previed. After I burn the CD the same video will not play on
the same pc through the CD.

Did you use "Package for CD"?

If not did you start with the video in the same folder as the presentation
and burn both files?

become part of your PowerPoint presentation; all three media options

Thanks for the replys,

I have set up this powerpoint with navigational links on a menu screen, so a
video of the powerpoint is a no. I have managed to fix the video problem but
now I have a text wrap issue when the powerpoint is played on a smaller
laptop.ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

The two videos I have in the powerpoint are about 70mb is this too big for a
general rule.....It plays great on my pc but my pc is fast. Should I
compress the videos to like a 5mb rule so all older pc can play this
powerpoint CD...

I am making a marketing powerpoint CD.

Hi

About the text wrap issue - it could well be a missing font. Fonts used must
be on the destination computer or PowerPoint will substitute them with
something of its choosing. To see if this is the problem, open the
presentation on the pc with laptop with the wrapping and go to Format ->
replace font (2003) or Home tab -> replace drop down -> replace font (2007)
and see if any of the fonts have question marks by them. If they do, they
are not present on the laptop.

So what do you do? I would have a go at embedding the font:

As for video, I would always try to make them as small as possible. You have
to balance size with quality which is a decision only you can make...

presentation, because once you insert the video to powerpoint, it just
linked.
2)convert your presentation to video or flash with a powerpoint
converter. it will be much easier for you to play, send your

My power point presentation is an interactive CD that will have a menu
buttons for clients to select from. I am not sure if I do a video of the PP
that the menu's will still be selectible, at least the videos will be
playable.
