VIDEO FILE FROM HELL

PPt 2007/Vista

I inserted a video file that had been in a .mov format, and was converted to
an MWV file using software downloaded from eo-video. After downloading the
softward and converting the file, I simply clicked on the PPt file in which I
wanted to insert the video and the computer crashed. I rebooted and
successfully opened the file. I inserted the converted video file into a
slide and pressed "play" to preview the slide. The slide plays, but the
audio from the video loops and keeps playing over and over. It continued to
play even when I closed the PPt file AND the PPt application! My desktop had
no active software (including Media Player) but still the loop kept going. I
had to turn the computer off to stop the audio. Two questions:

1. Is there a way to get the audio not to loop?
2. Any recommendations on conversion software that might not cause so much
trouble when downloading and using?

Thanks,

I do not know (and never used) the software you downloaded. For video
conversion I either use AVS Video Converter (not free, but worth its money
because of many supported video formats) or SUPER (free, but I think not so
easy to handle).

To convert mov files I suggest buying the "Pro" version of the QuickTime
player. About $25 last time I looked.
