Video hangs up in PowerPoint 2003

Problem: WMV will not run within PPT 2003 or 2003 viewer when running
from my hard drive on my system. It will run within Windows Media
Player. It will run from a CD if I package the PPT for CD. It will
also run on other computer systems running Windows 98, 2000, and XP.

When attempting to run a video within PPT 2003 on my computer, it will
turn my computer screen green and lock my system up. I can usually
recover by using the task manager. Below is

I have already tried the following:

1. Updating the video driver
2. Running detect and repair on PPT 2003
3. Reducing hardware acceleration

The error code below is what I receive after the crash.

Any assistance or suggestions that anyone can offer would be greatly
appreciated.

Where did the video come from? In the meantime you may want to read the

In addition to reading & acting upon Austin's excellent tutorial you should
try rolling back WM Player 11 to 10 (if you are using 11).
