video in powerpoint

I am having trouble projecting a video (mpeg)
clip through a projector. The clip and presentation
run ok on the laptop screen but i just get a blank
screen, any help?

There is a button on the top of your laptop that will
switch your display from the laptop to an external
screen. The button is usually the F8 button (CRT/LCD)
This is only if you arent seeing anything projected
through your projector.
