I have several PP presentations with inserted .wmv files.
On my desktop machine (Windows 2000 w/ Office 2000)they
played in the past but won't now. I visited the PowerPoint
2000 Movie Troublshooter at microsoft.com and then tried
to open the videos with mplayer32 as directed. I received
this message "A problem occurred in initializing MCI."
The video clips play fine in Wondows Media Player.
They also play fine in PowerPoint on my laptop (Windows
XP).
Something that may be related. Now when I try to insert a
video in PP using Insert|Movies and Sounds|Movies from
File I get this message, "Powerpoint couldn't insert a
movie from the selected file. Either the file is non-
standard, or QuickTime in not installed properly."
What's QuickTime got to do with anything?
I would appreciate any help. I'm stumped.
