View another person's schedule when setting up a meeting

I am trying to schedule a meeting in an Entourage calendar. We have an
exchange server. When I add invitees and click on the schedule tab, it
show everyones day is "Gray", meaning "no information". Do I have to
get everyone in the company to grant permission to every other person
in the company for this to work company wide? I don't want to view
other peoples calendars, I just want to view availability throughout
the day. I would think it is simple, but not so much.

Thanks,

Rich

Hi Rich!

Do you know if the server listed in the "Public folders server" field in
your Account is correct? This server is responsible for free/busy
information for everyone in your organization.

We have the correct server listed in the Public Folders field, but are having the same issue. i.e. greyed out schedule information

If you log in to the same account via Outlook Web Access (OWA) and try
to view the same free/busy information then does it appear there?
Entourage should show what OWA shows.

Yes, there is no trouble in seeing free/busy info in OWA within our office.

What I mean is that OWA shows free/busy, but Entourage does not - we have a problem.

Bob: did you ever resolve this issue for yourself. I am having the
exact same problem. Exchange server, every time I try to set up a
meeting, it shows "no information" for all invitees. I log into web
access and I have full visibility into people's schedule availability,
through Entourage, nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay, I figured it out (or at least the problem I was having). I was
outside my network and for email had to change my account settings to
the https:// email address just as if I was going to access it in the
browser. In the account settings, you need to change your public
folders address in a similar way. There you need to change it from
the server name (which may not be getting resolved) to https://xxx.xxx.com/public;
the public at the end is important.

hope this helps.

At work, we have a similar problem. On a PC using Outlook, users can see each others' free/busy info. when scheduling appointments/meetings. In Entourage (2004) on the Macs here, we have our public folders server info entered properly in the users' account setups (server/public) and each Mac user can see public folders just fine. But when they go to create a new appt. and view a user's scheduling info, it always returns the "no information" gray bar, not matter who they select. We have a Windows 2003 R2 server which we recently moved to; our old Exchange server was sitting on a Windows 2003 Server for SBS box. Apparently on our old server, the Mac users claim they could see each other's free/busy info without a problem. The account setup for each user now in Entourage is identical to what it was previously, besides the name change of the server of course. Any thoughts?
