View Attachments

Is it possible to preview attachments without having to
open them, like outlook express? Message displays text
then underneath displays preview of attachment ie photo or
jpeg.

no, this can't be done. You will only see the image as it is composed into
the message and when the mail-format is HTML. You can test this on yourself
by sending a message to yoursef in HTML-format and insert a picture by using
Insert-> Picture instead of Insert-> File
