My manager uses the field File As differently then I have seen others, for
example. I use the field to view every one in my contacts as Last name,
First
name. My manager will ask me to file a contact as in that field as
"Salesperson - Company Name". So he ends up having all these different
combinations and its a little confusing.
I suggested instead of using the File As field, maybe I could create a
category named Salesperson but before I do that he wants to make sure he
will
be able to see them grouped that way on the BB.

You can filter by categories on the blackberry -
for
example, I applied the BB category to the contacts I want/need on the BB
and
set it to filter out all the others.
