View emails in old Entourage archive file

I have old entourage archive file from mid 2008 and I want to view some
emails contained in it. How can this be done WITHOUT messing up my current
settings and by deleting the merged archive data/profile after I retrieve
some information and without messing up the original archive file? Some apps
will delete the archive file after the file is merged. So I hope entourage
does not play this trick on me.

Thanks..

The Bible Way to Salvation is to realize that no one is good,(Rm 3:10) you
are a sinner, (Rm 3:23) God has a price on sin, (Rm 6:23) and that price is
death in Hell forever (Isa 33:14). But you can be saved by believing that
Christ died for you, (Rm 5:8) and you must call upon his name and ask for
forgiveness (Rm 10:9-13). Will you call upon him today?

--Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. Please come into my heart and save
my soul from Hell. I'm trusting You, and You alone, to take me to Heaven
when I die. Thank you for saving me, Jesus. In your matchless name Amen.--

Hi John,

Entourage does not delete the archive file, so you can safely delete the
folder inside Entourage once you have viewed all the relevant e-mail
messages without deleting the .rge file at the same time.

You might want to create a second identity just for the archive. To do so,
click on Entourage>Switch Identity and create a new identity. Once you have
imported the archive into the new identity, you can view any message the
archive file contains. When you are done, you can simply switch back to your
current identity file. This way, you can have the archive accessible at all
times without having to re-import it over and over again, while at the same
time, it does not get in your way in your current identity, which you use on
a daily basis.

Post back if you need any help with the solutions I have just mentioned.

As an aside: the topic has already been brought up by other users, but I
feel the need to point out as well that your signature can be (and has been)
perceived as offensive by a number of users. Please do not use religious
signatures in a newsgroup that does not discuss religious issues. Thank you
for your understanding.
