view in mydocuments folder

when I am in word (or excel) and hit the open button - I
see the documents that I have saved first ... I have to
scroll to the front to see the folders.
It used to be that I saw the folders first and then the
single documents.
Where do I change that sorting option?

Kerstin,

Change to the Details view and column headers will
appear. Click on the "Name" column header to toggle sort
order by file name. You might have to click twice as it
is a toggle sort.

Greg - that doesn't work - it only sorts the documents -
(in word all the .doc files) but it still starts with the
first document (alphabetically).
When I open the mydocumetns window I want my cursor to sit
on the first FOLDER not the first document.
