View Menu Problem

I have Win XP and Outlook 2003 within MS Office.
I'm trying to save a customised view of a contacts folder.
Help says:-
On the View menu, point to Arrange By, point to Current View, and then
click Define Views.
Under Arrange By, my view menu doesn't have or show Current View.
Where do I go from here?

Tell us what you DO see when you click View>Arrange By. Do you see a small
double arrow pointing down at the bottom of the menu? In what windows are you
when you try this?

Hi Brian
There are no double arrows at the bottom - the whole available menu is
shown.
The top section of this menu starts with Date and Conversation and ends with
Importance and Categories. Then it has Custom, Show in Groups and
Show Views in Navigation Pane and that's all.
Not quite clear what you mean by:-
<<In what windows are you when you try this?>>

Your Arrange By menu should contain "Current View" just below "Show Views in
Navigation Pane". Try right-clicking on an empty place of the menu bar,
choosing Customize, selecting the "Toolbars" tab, selecting "Menu Bar", then
clicking Reset.
