View onenote file on Mac?

D

djkonkle

I have a mac, and only a mac. A friend sent me his notes created with
OneNote on a tablet PC as a single .one file. I have tried muiltiple
times to open this file in Office 2004 for Mac with no success, and
have also tried opening with multiple different internet browsers with
no luck.

I am in need of a way to view this file without resorting to opening it
on a PC with OneNote installed and re-saving, as I do not have the
capacity to access a PC. Also please refrain from suggesting I use
virtual PC and install windows and then the onenote trial program, I do
not have a copy of windows or virtual pc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

You are out of luck. I don't know of any program that would open OneNote
files on a Mac. You need access to a PC with OneNote (or the OneNote
Trial) installed. Preferably, you need to have OneNote 2007 installed,
so that you can save all the files as PDF.
Best idea is to ask your friend to send it to you as a PDF, HTML email
or Word document.
