view options "full screen"

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) In "full screen" I still have the top bar with my word menue (file, format, tools, ect). Can I make that one disappear?????? I want to only only only see my text please!!!!

That's how it appears to work. I can't find any settings that make it
do what you ask for. I know of other authoring tools that do as you
want. Others might know how to make Word do it.

No - The Menu Bar belongs to the operating system... The program you're
using simply provides the OS with the content that it needs to have
included. See the Apple icon at the left as well as the others at the
extreme right end? Word offers no way to dismiss it, nor have I seen
anything other than a few graphics apps that do.

Thanks for the info - I know of the program but haven't used it. Some of the
Adobe apps I work with also provide a full screen display that hides all but
the content & WinWord comes close. The only Mac Office app that does is PPT
when running a Slide Show but no editing can be done when in that mode.
