View Resource Assignments - actual hours inaccurate??

In July of 2006, there was a thread labeled 'View resource
assignments Actual Hours incorrect.'

The challenge still not answered (at least I cannot find) - the data
in the View Resource Assignments page is in discrepancy from data in
PWA actual hours worked, the timesheet, MS Project data. Does anyone
know where the View Resource Assignments page gets it data from or
perhaps there is a bug or perhaps I have missed something?

We are now having this same oddity.
