Hi,

I am having problem in View Resource Assginemtns. I am using Non
Managed Time Periods. When I see the resource assignments it shows me
the time reported by users which is not approved by the manager. I only
want to see time approved by the project manager in the resource
Assignments. Please suggest some soluction.

Thanking in anticipation,

Hammad

I would recommend that your Project Server administrator add the PM Accept?
field to the assignments Summary view in PWA. This is the view that you see
by default when you click the View Resource Assignments link. After he/she
adds this field, you can filter on the PM Accept? field using the following
filter:

PM Accept? Equals Accepted

This will show you every task update accepted by the project manager. Hope
this helps.

Dale,

Thanks very much for your prompt response. Your suggested solution
works well but there is a problem e.g. I have a task whcih spans on 16
hours. And a resource has entered 8 hours in it. By applying filter on
PM Accept? field it works and I only get the task where the time has
been approved by PM. PM approves the time and I am able to see the
approved time. Now next day I enter again the 8 hours on the same task
and the time is not approved by the Project Manager. Now when I view
resouce assignments it even doesn't show me that task becuase it is
filtered on the PM Accept? field. I want to see the 8 hours time which
has already been approved.

The system will not allow you to do what you wish within the default
features of Project Server. At this point, you may need to use a tool such
as Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services to extract the data you wish to
see. Hope this helps.
