View Resource Availability in PWA 2003

In Project Web Access 2002, the "View Resource
Availability" is limited to increments of days or weeks.
Can one of the Server 2003 users tell me if months,
quarters, or years are available increments now?

PJH:

In PWA 2003, you are still limited to days or weeks in
the View Resource Availability. However, utilizing the
OLAP cube in Analyze Resources In Portfolio Manager, you
can slice and dice to years, quarters, months, and days.

Hope this gets you what you need.

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately (as many have
noted) the OLAP cube doesn't show task-level data, so I
was hoping our resource managers could get the task-level
data they need from "View Resource Availability".

PJH:

Aren't you mixing a metaphor when you say you want to see task-level detail
in a resource availability view? Availability, in my understanding,
describes the amount of work a resource is available to do over a specific
period of time in absence of all task work. You can see total work
allocations for resources by resource, by project, across time in the
Portfolio Analyzer. You can't drill down to the specific task assignments,
but you can get a good look down to the project level. Perhaps you should
describe exactly what results you're looking for.
