View the Project Manager for each task

Jo

In PWA, in the Tasks view, there are columns for "Project
Manager" and "Lead Name", far to the right in the left-
hand section of the view. I want to display those columns
in a Project view, but I can't find them. (We have a
project that hands off portions of a project to sub-leads,
and they "become manager" for those tasks.) I can't find
how to display those columns in Professional, either. I
know we could add a custom outline code, but obviously the
information already exists; I don't want someone to have
to remember to set those fields - I want the columns that
are already populated in the system. Why can't I find
those fields?

Thanks

The fields you seek are not available in either Microsoft Project
Professional or Project Web Access. Sorry.

Dale,
Is there any way to get to the information? How is the
Tasks (timesheet or gantt) view able to display it?

Access to the field in the View my tasks page is programmatically controlled
within Project Server. I believe you can access the data directly in the
SQL Server database using some type of database reporting tool such as
Crystal Reports. Hope this helps.

Jo:

You can get this information in Project Web Access from the View resource
assignments view found in the Resource Center. You can create your own
assignment view like this or modify the existing one. As Dale stated, the
information does not articulate into Project Pro views. Using an outline
code or text field to leave an audit trail is the only solution on that side
of the fence.
