Hello All,



I am using "View Backup and Restore Tool" (viewbackup.exe) to backup the
customized views. It works fine for the portfolio views but it doesn't work
properly for the project and project center views. When I restore the views,
the views are created but they contain only mandatory fields but not the
customized fields. When I look the inside the backup xml file, the file
contains the customized fields information, however the view doesn't
contains any customized fields.

Do you have any idea to solve the problem?

Are you restoring the views on another Project Server instance? If so, does
that instance contain the custom fields found in the original instance? Let
us know.

Hello Dale,



No, I am using the same project server instance. I created the view, backed
it up, deleted the original one and restored the view on the same project
server instance. So, the customized fields are already there. I also added
the project server original fields such as %complete, cost; they didn't
appear in the view either when it was restored.
