Files sent to the VIEWDROP folder were not being processed and the
application event log reported errors concerning the "indigestible" XML
files.
Once the appropriate project server services were restarted the XML files
would be processed. Review of the XML file contents revealed no problems
with the information contained within the file.
Referred to the administrator guide & found a registry key reference for the
VIEWDROP folder. The priority for the listener is set to "2" (below normal)
by default during the installation. Moved the priority from "2" to "6"
(normal) and have encountered no problems so far.
Why would this XML listener fail to pickup files from the VIEWDROP folder
using the default priority settings?

We're periodically experiencing "stuck" files in our VIEWDROP folder. When
we remove the offending file OR restart the views & scheduler services the
files are processed, or removed from the folder. I say removed because
there is no log or event log entry saying that the xml is processed
successfully.
Errors in the application log do indicate a problem with the xml file's
CDATA - Description parameter. The error codes correspond with spooler
errors outlined in the Admin Guide. Once the view & scheduler service is
restarted why does the the "stuck" files become processed?
Thanks!!!!!
