Viewer 2003 (not) playing WMV in Slide Show?

Hello All, I have this odd situation that on one computer (WinXPpro, Office
2003, Pentium IV, 256 MB video) a wmv in my presentation plays fine in
PowerPoint and in the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer, but on another compu
(WinXPpro, Office 2003, Conroe 6600, 500 MB video) it plays perfectly in
PowerPoint 2003, but when I play in the PowerPoint Viewer the wmv as soons
as it should start to play, it turns black and does not play at all??

Can this be a codec problem? (if yes, how do I fix that?)

Hello All again, I am a bit closer to the solution and is not a codec
matter.
On the computer with the Viewer not playing WMV problem I am running two
screens, the other compu has only one. When I disable the second screen
(although on connector 1 on the video card) the Viewer plays on the primary
monitor and plays the WMV !?

anyway, just thought let you know...

Some computers don't play a video on a second monitor. In this case it can
help to set back the hardware acceleration
