Viewer 2003

Am I understanding this correctly? PP Viewer 2003 will show animated objects, but the older versions
do not. If the 2003 Viewer is packed with a PPS it CANNOT be read on a computer that is using
Win 98 (not 98 SE) Win 98 can run PPS that has used the older Viewer version, but it does not animate.

If this is all correct then I'm snake bit trying to get a presentation to older citizens that still use Win 98!

Pete,

The older viewer will show animations, but not the newer type ones such as
path, exit and emphasis that came in for PowerPoint 2002 onwards. You can
build a presentation in 2002 or 2003, and turn off the newer animations so
that they will run in the old viewer. Tools| Options| Edit| Disable New
Animation Effects.

Steve and Glen,

Thank both of you for the information on how to disable newer animations.
