viewing a movie

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

Hi there.

I have downloaded an AVI movie which opens up fine with VLC put when in imported the file into powerpoint it opened up with quicktime, and I had no image just sound. How do I set my powerpoint to open up with VLC?
