viewing a recent file office 2007

I need some help

A few weeks ago i opened a ppt file from my disk on key ,i lost my dis
on key but the presentation i was working on appears on the 'recen
documents' when i try to open it ,and view it i get the : ''path or fil
name is incorrect or invalid'' , since it's looking for the disk

my question is can i somehow view this file ? is it stored somewhere o
my computer ? my os is xp media center

this presentation is very important to me , any help will be greatl
appreciated

If the only place that file existed was on the "disk on key", you don't
have a copy of it any more. In the future don't edit directly from
removable media, only from the hard drive and copy to media for
transport or backup. As to clearing the nonexistent file from the
listing, set "Show this number of Recent Documents" to a number less
than where the file in question appears on the list. You will find that
setting in Word Options, Advanced, Display.
