Viewing & access speed of Powerpoint 2003 files with Powerpoint 20

Just upgraded to Powerpoint 2007. When opening and accessing previous ppt
2003 files, it takes ages (up to a minute) to load. And after loading, if i
alt-tab to other windows and then switch back to ppt, it will take another
minute or so before i can see the file. Same goes for any modification done
to the ppt.
File size in question: 5mb
Hard disk space & RAM: Already checked and cleared

Powerpoint 2007 is slower than previous versions.

Does it do this with any file, or just this particular one?

Maybe there is something in this file that is linking to a network resource
(or internet)

Thanks TAJ, you are right. I have checked and t is just this particular file
or rather this group of files using the same template that is giving me major
issues. Doesn't seem to have any links to network resource or internet. Any
advice. Thanks
