viewing calendar appointments of others

When I click open, other user's folder, and open someone a
coworker's calendar, I cannot see appointments scheduled
for that day. If I click on tomorrows date then back onto
today's date, I can then see the appointments scheduled
for today. What can I do so that I will be able to see
today's appointments when I first access my coworker's
calender.
