viewing data from subform with filter on

I am having a problem seeing data in a subform with subforms when I have a filter on. however the data from the sub, sub form is displayed. for example, form A contains subform b, which contains suform c. when A iis filtered I can see data from c, but not b. also, the data is there when you look at the table. can anyone help?
