Viewing dimensions of range selection

The 2004 Excel had a nice feature where selecting a range of cells displayed the dimensions of the selection in the location or named range box that appears in the formula toollbar. This was very handy when trying to match selection ranges or do do simple counts of a selection of interest.
Unfortunately, I can't seem find any simlar feature in the 2008 Excel.
If this feature has been lost I hope it returns.

Hmm... Seems to work the same for me. Is Office fully updated?

Same here ‹ I'm seeing no difference between 2004 & 2008. Also, I don't
recall having seen any similar reports.

Well, as the phrase goes, I'll be dipped. Whether I was being aphasic or there was a ghost in the machine before, the feature is there again. I swear folks, it wasn't there despite my repeated examination. So I'm glad I'm experiencing it again for whatever reason.
