Viewing docs without seeing any page breaks, headers, or footers

In the older version of Word, I could position the curser over a visible page break, click, and it would disappear so that i could view the text continuously without breaks, headers, or footers. How do i do this in the new version?

Try View | Draft?

Was your older version a Windows version? because I don't think the
thing where you clicked your cursor has ever worked in MacWord.

I'm not sure if this ever worked for the Mac version but I have seen it in some windows versions and I would love to see it in an update.
Not having the page breaks in the print layout view would be great!

Hi Chris & Jill -

The option to Hide White Space isn't something that "never worked" in the
Mac versions of Word, it's something that has never been included. Quite
honestly, it causes more confusion & dismay for many PC Word users than is
justified by any conceivable benefit it offers:)... That's what
Normal/Draft View is for as suggested by Daiya. Not having page breaks
displayed in *Print* Layout View is pretty much an oxymoron, don't ya think?
Also, when "white space" is hidden Header & Footer content doesn't display
either.

The purpose of Print/Page Layout View is to give a relistic impression of
what the printed page will look like, and I'm not sure shearing off the top
& bottom edges is what most people intend to do with their docs:)

Hi all,
thanks for you responses.
Bob (aka CyberTaz), I'm a tech writer and recent Mac "convert". I really REALLY like this option in Word for Windows. The Normal/Draft view is skewed to the left and (if I recall) doesn't depict the margins.
If you have any pull in this area, can we please have this option in an update?
Thanks again!
Jill

Hi Bob,
Thanks for your response.
I understand your point about the potential for confusion of removing page breaks from the print layout view however, I really do agree with Jill.
This feature is something that I miss and I wish you guys would bring it back as soon as possible.
Thanks
Chris
