Viewing formulas in worksheet

I accidentally managed to change the worksheet to show the formulas in the
cells, and do not know how to go back to normal view. Can anyone help? The
Excel help from the program Help says hit Ctrl + ' or grave symbol. Somehow,
that does not work or else I am not hitting the right key on my laptop's
keyboard. Can anyone help? Thanks!

The key to use with CTRL is ` and it is to the left of 1 on the top row of
the 'typewriter' keys
Alternatively, use Tools | Options, open the View tab and in the Windows
Options (bottom half) uncheck the Formulas box
