viewing graphics from powerpoint for windows

I'm on a design team that exchanges powerpoint slides
across windows/mac platforms. We sometimes get blank
boxes when a mac tries to view a windows presentation. It
seems to occur especially with cad drawings. Is there a
reliable solution?

It may depend on how the Windows user added the CAD drawing.
Suggest to them that they insert it, then ungroup it, then immediately group it
again.

That will convert it to PowerPoint shapes rather than WhateverTheHeckItIsNow
format and will give you a much better chance of getting something useful on
the Mac side. And on other PCs for that matter.
