Viewing my tasks

I have a project where time worked has to be reported every day. I assign
myself as a resource to two tasks: one is 6 hours over 1 day and the other
is 32 hours over 44 days with my resource loading for the task is set to 10%.

When I view my tasks, the contiguous task of 6 hours let's me enter time day
by day. The task spread over 44 days only allows me to enter % work
complete. What am I not understanding here?

Sounds like you have mixed your time recording method. Did you publish
these two tasks at the same time or at different times. Are these two task
on separate projects?

I would open up the project(s) with these two tasks and do a republish
assignments to get the latest time recording method out there.

Also, are you on 2003 SP1?
