Viewing objects

Please help - I hate the awful tabbed viewing, which seems to maximise
everything - how can I make it display like the good old versions of Access,
where I could resize tables, forms etc when I view them? In fact is there a
way to revert to 'classic' for the whole thing - I find it a total dog's
breakfast. It is perhaps a comment on the interface that I as an Access
veteran can't even find the wretched settings!!!!

I presume you are using Access 2007, if so -

Click the round Office button (top left).
Click Access Options.
Select Current Database.
Select Overlapping Windows instead of Tabbed Documents.
Click OK.
