I
Ian
I am using MSP (Project 98) to schedule jobs through my manufacturing
shop. I am running multiple jobs through various processes (cut,
drill, mill, punch, assemble, etc.) I have all the jobs listed by job
# & name (eg. 4705 St. Anthony's, 4710 Richview, etc) in one project
with the various steps listed below on the Gantt Chart. I have listed
all my shop resources in the Resource Sheet and allocate them
accordingly.
I would like to be able to see which jobs each person (or group) is
working on according to the plan. If for example each job requires
cutting at mitre saw, I want to see what the order of jobs is for the
mitre saw, and make sure I have not double booked it. In the Resource
Sheet though all I see is "cut", listed over and over, instead of
listing the job number and name.
Any suggestions on how to do this? Do I need to set up a separate
project for each job and use a common resource pool?
