Viewing resource assignments in PWA 2007 with Timesheet format

We currently have Project Server 2003 deployed in our company. One of the
features we've started to use more frequently is viewing resource assignments
in Timesheet format. I cannot find how to change the format in 2007. Another
plus to 2003 is that I can manually add resources, change the time scale, and
save it as a link to access later. How can I accomplish this similar view in
PWA 2007?

Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately, for some reason Microsoft removed the timesheet format from
the Resource Assignments page in Project Server 2007. They also removed the
capability of saving a link for a customized page. The net result is that
you cannot do either of these things in Project Server 2007. Hope this
helps.

Thanks Dale. I see you post answers a lot in this discussion group. I
appreciate your expertise.

So, how else can Resource Managers view timecards in PWA 2007? Is there a
custom view I can create to accomplish this? I'd like to steer away from
creating a view using the Timesheet OLAP cube for the following reasons:

1. RM's have to set up a custom filter on Resources and Weeks each time they
access this view.
2. The OLAP cube builds on a schedule. It's not live information.
3. Time periods split over months even if you omit the month variable from
the Pivot Chart. For example, last year, week 44 occurs in October and
November. So the RM must remember to expand each month and hand select each
week #44. Too many clicks.

Perhaps the best thing to do is write a custom report using report services
on the Reporting DB.

Your thoughts?

Given your reporting requirements, I would opt for your final solution: a
custom report in SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports from data in the
Reporting database. Hope this helps.
