Viewing task details in Project 2003 web access

Peter Lipczak

Hi,

I created a project simple in Project in Project 2003 (SP1) professional
and published it to our Project 2003 Server (Sp1) with no errors. I'm able
to view the summary of the project from within project center in webaccess.
When I click on the project to view task details i get the following
information:

There is no information to display in this view

Either the project manager has not published the project plan or there is no
information in the project plan to display.

I found a KB (810596) and tried the methods suggested except Configuring the
IIS lockdown tool since this is not implemented on the server. No luck.

Our configuration is One server running WSS, Project 2003 server, SQL 200
SP3 and Windows 2003 standard server.

Does anyone now how to get rid of this problem ?

thanks
Peter Lipczak

Peter:

If this is your first time with Project Server, you may be confused by
Microsoft's dual purpose use of the word "published." Make sure that you at
leas select Collaborate from the main menu and choose Publish Project Plan.
Once you do this, the details will be viewable.

Gary,

I have the same problem; however, in addition I recieve
the following from my PS home page "There is a problem
establishing a connection with the Web server running
Windows SharePoint Services. " Are the two somehow
related? I can't add task an they view fine but the
enterprise 'published' project don't expand the task and I
get "There is no information to display in this view
Either the project manager has not published the project
plan or there is no information in the project plan to
display." I know some else out there has experiened
similar display issues.
