Viewing the interim start and finish time of split tasks

I notice that when I print out to-do lists for each resource, split tasks
only show the original start time and the final finish time, but not the
start and finish times in between. How do you view the interim start and
finish times? How do you communicate to your resources when they need to
start and stop a split task?

(I asked this question earlier and there may possibly be a vba code I could
utilize, but I'm curious how everyone else is handling this. Maybe I'm
missing an easier way to solve this problem.)
