Viewing transparent objects created in PowerPoint2002

Hello,

I have a problem when my colleagues try to use their
laptops to show the presentations I have created on mine.

I have Office XP (PP 2002) and they have Powerpoint 2000.
If I make an object (autoshapes) transparent, it does not
appear transparent on their computers (it is either solid
or very blurred).

Is there any solution short of upgrading them to Office
XP? I can not save the graphic in another programme as I
only have Paint (no Photoshop etc).
