Viewing Visio Drawings in MS Word:mac 2004

Mark Frautschi

Hello,

I used to be able to read and print Vizio diagrams prepared on Windows
platforms, and incorporated into Word documents on Windows Platforms
without Visio and on Macintoshes running Mac OS 9.2.2 and Office:mac
Word 2001.

I upgraded to a Mac running OS X (10.3.4) and ran Office:mac Word 2001
in the Classic environment. I could see the outlines of the diagams, but
not the content. I later upgraded to Office:mac Word 2004 in hopes that
this would solve the problem. It has not.

Any suggestion?

Beth,

Thank your very much for your reply.

I checked the preferences panel as you suggested.

Show:

Drawings
Object Anchors
Text Boundaries
Image Placeholders
Text Animation
Screen Tipe
Highlight
Contact Tags

are ALL checked, while

Field Shading is set to Always, and

Bookmarks
Field codes
Draft font

are ALL UNchecked.

I tried unchecking Image placeholders and NOW I can see the drawings!

Thank you very very much!

Mark

Hi Mark,

Check Preferences>View. Is the option to view Drawing Objects checked?
