Viewing .vsd file

How can I view a .vsd file without installing Visio on my machine. Which
application supports .vsd file format.
I have MS Office XP suite

download and install the visio viewer

I can open it using internet explorer. But I donot want to use that. I want
to use an application where I can modify the visio file/

the only application that can modify a visio file is visio.
