Vintage Word doc to be opened in Word 2003

Hello,

I am attempting to open an Archived word.doc file of
'Wednesday, June 28, 1995, 11:34:06 PM' Vintage. Probably Word 2 ??
It always return the following error message.


You are attempting to open a file that was created in an earlier
version of Microsoft Office. This file type is blocked from opening in
this version by your registry policy setting.

Current Version : Microsoft Office Word 2003 SP3

What solution options do I have.
