Violation of License?

I am a Project Manager at a non-profit organization. All
the people within this organization are licensed MS Office
users. We have prepared a presentation in Power Point and
are interested in selling it to our members as an
educational tool. Only MS Office licensed members of our
organization would be able to purchase and use the
presentation. Is this sort of thing allowed or is it a
violation of the terms of our MS Office license? Please
help!

That would be impossible to control. Besides, why the limitation? You
can download a free PP viewer from Microsoft's website.

The license applies to the program PowerPoint. The presentations are yours
to distribute at will. In order for someone to view the presentation they
will need to:

1) Have a version of PowerPoint
2) Have the viewer (may be included on CD with your presentation)

or you will have to:

3) Convert the presentation to html for them to view using their internet
browser.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each the techniques. I would
recommend option 2.

Have you looked at:

This may make it a little easier on you.

To clarify a bit: You can give your presentations to anyone. You cannot give
PPT to anyone, but that's not important because you can give anyone the free
PPT viewer, downloadable at www.microsoft.com.

If you have PPT 2000 or later, download the PPT 2003 Viewer. If you have PPT
97 or earlier, download the PPT 97 viewer.

As was stated, you may freely include the viewers on your CDs along with
your presentations. You need not charge anything unless you want to.

If you want to get fancy, you can even cause the viewer to autorun the
presentation when your audience inserts the CD.
