check custom size and set initial size to 2 and max size to 750, then
reboot.

Set the page file for 'System managed'.. you have more than enough free
space on the hard drive, and all being well, you will never see the message
again..

now. lilian

system managed is an option.

I would be interested as to why you would not recommend 'system managed'..

Set your page file to system managed, and then leave it that way..

You are replying to the wrong person, and still haven't told me why 'system
managed' would be less of an option in view of the RAM installed and the
amount of free space on the hard drive of the OP..

somebody please tell me which is best to do when your computer is saying
virtual memory is too low and the computer is getting more? and it wont
respond? is it because of the memory or something else?

Set the Page file to system managed.

Look up "virtual memory" in Windows Help. Click the link called
"change the size of the virtual memory paging file"

Read the instructions.

I've been having this trouble periodically. Someone suggested I uninstall
the Google toolbar in Internet Explorer. It seems to have helped.
