Virtual PC in Office Professional Upgrade

According to Microsoft's website, the full version of Microsoft Office
Professional 2004 will contain Windows XP Professional. Will the upgrade

The upgrade to Office Pro and Office Pro are identical except for the price
and requirements (namely, a former version of Pro). If you are asking about
Office Pro and the upgrade to 2004 (standard), then no, you will not have
any kind of VPC included with it.

Virtual PC 7 will install a Virtual PC that behaves just like a real PC.
Office XP is the operating system that will run on the Virtual PC. If the
package says it contains Virtual PC 7.0 and XP Professional, then it should
have both applications. If says there are both, but one is missing, then you
need to complain about it to Microsoft.

In any case, Office Mac 2004 Professional packages I've seen selling in the
stores have both VPC and XP Pro.

Actually, Windows XP is the operating system. Office XP is a version of
Office for Windows, a separate product.

If the
package says it contains Virtual PC 7.0 and XP Professional, then it should

That appeared to be the case here in Japan--at least, that's what it said in
Japanese on the box. However, the box was empty. Shoplifting in Japan is as
much a problem as it is in the USA, so computer and electronics stores often
place empty boxes on their shelves that are exchanged at the checkout
counter for the real product, which is safely stashed in a secure area. What
I saw could have been a display for taking advanced orders
