With FrontPage2002 (I think earlier versions also) you can use banner
manager to do a cheap version of what I think you want to do.
Start by clicking on Insert> Select "Web Component"> Under Component
Type, Select "Dynamic Effects"> Under "Choose an effect" Select "Banner Ad
Manager"> then click on finish. This brings you to "Banner Ad Manager
Properties" dialog box. Here you can enter the Width and Height of the
banner area. Think of this as a window. Banner Manager will show your pics
behind this window. This means that if you leave it set at the default
setting of 320 x 100, the image or picture that you have displayed will be
placed with it's upper left corner aligned with the upper left corner of the
banner display area. If your images are larger the Banner manager will only
show the upper left corner of the pic. If smaller, you will have
uncontrolled background where the pic isn't.
The next selection is for cool or not cool looks called "Transition
effect:".
Next is the "Show each picture for (seconds):" deal where you set the
rotation time delay between views.
Then, in the link to; section you can define a hyperlink to associate with
each image.
Finally you have a Pictures to display: section. This lets you add pictures
to the banner and sequence them after you get them loaded into the deal.
Keep both the image file size and count small for this deal because what
happens when the page is called containing your banner, all of the pictures
are downloaded to the surfer so size does matter.
When you save the page containing the banner manager you will be prompted to
save the images used if you brought them in from your Computer. To keep
things clean I would suggest that you change folders and name it so that it
is find-able and removable when the property is sold.
If this doesn't work for you, try using Photo Gallery under Insert>Web
Component>Photo Gallery. Just remember that if you use huge graphics you
will gain small results with either of these two components. Once you get
them done, you can go bck to them and double click on them and re-sort, add,
delete or whatever..
